Area storage systems have a wide range. For the use of our conveyor belts, it is not only important which steel or hinge thickness a belt is made of, but also the coating of the surface. The resistance and the lifetime of a belt can be influenced by the surface. One possibility is the surface treatment process, nitrocarburizing. In this process, the surface of the steel is enriched with nitrogen and carbon at low temperatures, whereby a hard surface is achieved. This treatment enable not only a higher resistance, but also an improved corrosion resistance.
 

We transferred this positive properties to the conveyor belts, resulting in optimized abrasion behavior. This makes our nitrocarburized conveyor belts suitable for conveying, particularly abrasive materials such as titanium (medical industry).
