Recycling of metal scrap

For considerable time, many industries have been rethinking the raw materials available to us. Another and increasingly important point in this regard is environmental protection, which is becoming more and more relevant. As sustainability is a central point of our endeavours. Regarding recycling, the metal industry is a pioneer. For many years, attempt have been made to reuse the maximum from "old raw materials". For example, 35% of the copper produced (worldwide)" could be recycled from copper scrap (source).

For this reason, the recovery of resources is important - including the processing of the scrap. Because the first step of recycling is the correct exploitation and seperation of the "old raw materials". At this point in the cycle of secondary raw material recycling, we support the metal industry and have developped belts that are used in various applications of the recycling process. The heavy-duty design of our conveyor belts with hinge thickness from 5 to 10 mm offers the possibility to transport paper, wood, metals and cement.

We are proud that we can support conveyor manufacturers with our knowledge in the field of hinged plate belts, which we have acquired over decades, in order to achieve the set environmental targets and in this way improve sustainability.
